Nana Mizuki is a Japanese voice actress and singer born on January 21, 1980, in Niihama, Ehime, Japan. Her birth name is Nana Kondō. From the age of five, she was trained in enka singing by her father, which laid the foundation for her future career in music. She made her debut as a voice actress in 1997 after successfully auditioning for the PlayStation game Noël: La Neige. In 2000, she signed with the record label King Records and debuted as a singer with the single Omoi.

Mizuki's career as a voice actress is marked by a vast number of prominent and long-running roles. She is widely recognized for voicing Hinata Hyūga in the Naruto and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations series. Another cornerstone role is Fate Testarossa in the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha franchise, a character she has portrayed across multiple series and films. In the anime Shaman King, she voiced Tamao Tamamura in both the 2001 and 2021 adaptations. She also played Tsubasa Kazanari in the Symphogear series and Tsubomi Hanasaki, also known as Cure Blossom, in Heartcatch Precure!. Her role as Ann Takamaki in the Persona 5 anime is another significant credit. In the original 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist series, she provided the voice for the homunculus Wrath. Her filmography also includes roles in long-running franchises such as Princess Tutu, Rosario + Vampire, and Shugo Chara!. Beyond anime, she has dubbed foreign films for the Japanese market, including the voice of Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer Lawrence, in The Hunger Games film series.

In 2009, her album Ultimate Diamond became the first album by a voice actress to reach number one on the Oricon weekly charts. For her musical performances, she has won awards such as the Best Musical Performance award at the first Seiyu Awards in 2007 for her song Justice to Believe. Her popularity and influence as a singer have led to historic concert achievements. In 2011, she became the first voice actress to hold a concert at the Tokyo Dome. She was also the first voice actress to perform at Koshien Stadium in 2016. Her success has been recognized with appearances on the prestigious NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen New Year's Eve music program for six consecutive years from 2009 to 2014.

Throughout her career, Mizuki has been the recipient of several major industry awards. In 2010, she received the Kei Tomiyama Award at the fourth Seiyu Awards, which honors a voice actor who has promoted the profession through media appearances. Her contributions to the entertainment field were further acknowledged in 2014 when she was presented with the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Art Encouragement Prize for Newcomer in the Popular Entertainment division. She was also named Animation Artist of the Year at the Billboard Japan Music Awards in 2011. Over the years, her agency affiliation has changed, moving from Sigma Seven to StarCrew.
