Manaria Sousse is a princess of the Sousse Kingdom and a recurring character in the story. She has known Claire François since childhood and is a distant relative of Claire. Manaria was born to a secondary queen, but her exceptional magical talent made her a candidate for the throne. To avoid entanglement in succession conflicts, her family sent her to the Royal Academy in the Bauer Kingdom. Even there, she is careful not to fully display her abilities. She is recognized as the world’s first confirmed quad-caster, possessing high aptitude in all four magical elements.

Manaria is confident, assertive, and straightforward in expressing her thoughts and desires. She acts on her emotions and values personal satisfaction over social approval. Her motivation centers on her own romantic feelings and the pursuit of what she wants. She was Claire’s first love, helping Claire overcome the trauma of losing her mother when they first met—Manaria was initially mistaken for a boy. After that incident, the two grew close and maintained a correspondence for years.

Manaria was exiled from her kingdom after her relationship with a maid was discovered, an affair that caused the maid to lose her position. Manaria deeply regretted the pain it caused. She transfers to the Royal Academy as an exchange student, where she openly shows interest in Claire, positioning herself as a rival for Rae Taylor’s affections. Over time, she encourages Rae to deepen her bond with Claire, showing growth in understanding love and letting go. By the end of her arc, her status is restored and she transfers back to her home kingdom.
