Movie
Description
Vera Mitrohina is a young female soldier from Tanya von Degurechaff's world, featured in the *Isekai Quartet* film. She wears an Imperial military uniform identical to Tanya's, a World War I-themed commander outfit, with short black hair featuring a pink streak and pink eyes.
Born in the Unified States to parents who emigrated from the Empire, she enjoyed a happy childhood and took pride in her Imperial heritage, including fluency in the Empire's language. The war's outbreak brought severe persecution from former friends and neighbors due to her family's origins. Blaming the Empire for this betrayal, she developed intense hatred and joined the Unified States army as a spy to infiltrate the Imperial military.
Transported to another world inhabited by golems, she befriended the sentient golem girl Pantagruel and the stranded human Alec Hoshin, coming to see this new world as home. Discovering that Pantagruel and Alec concealed a device capable of returning her to her original world, she felt profoundly betrayed. She stole a ring allowing control over golems, intending to lead an immortal army back to her world to destroy the Empire.
During the film, she encountered Ainz Ooal Gown and Kazuma Satou at the golem facility. Initially wary, she formed a temporary alliance upon confirming their shared goal of returning home. She revealed a spherical device for interworld travel, noting activation required an item called the "Sign of the Chunibyo." Recognizing Pantagruel’s eyepatch matched this description, Vera ambushed Pantagruel at a village cathedral. There, she confronted Tanya von Degurechaff, whom she despised as a symbol of the Empire. With Ainz's assistance, she kidnapped Pantagruel.
Back at the facility, Vera deduced Ainz and Kazuma's association with Tanya and turned against them. Ignoring warnings, she activated the device, unsealing a massive, uncontrollable golem that attacked her immediately. Ainz intervened to protect her. Alec Hoshin arrived and revealed Pantagruel could control the golem by merging with it, sacrificing her own consciousness. Vera expressed profound regret as Pantagruel prepared for this. After Pantagruel fused with the golem and opened a wormhole, Vera chose to remain in the golem world with Alec to watch over Pantagruel’s dormant form. Kazuma later used his "Steal" ability to separate Pantagruel from the golem, reuniting the three friends.
Her personality is defined by a hatred of lies and deep-seated resentment toward the Empire, stemming from her wartime trauma. This drove her to ruthless actions, manipulating allies and endangering Pantagruel. Witnessing the near-loss of Pantagruel prompted significant change; she acknowledged her mistakes and reconciled with Tanya through a mutual salute, symbolizing newfound respect. She ultimately prioritized her friendships with Pantagruel and Alec over vengeance, opting to build a life in their adopted world.
