Her Journey of Regeneration commenced at sixteen under a Cruxis oracle’s decree, requiring her to break five seals across Sylvarant. Departing with mercenary escort Kratos Aurion and teacher Raine Sage, she deliberately misled Lloyd about her leaving time to shield him. Lloyd and Genis joined after their exile from Iselia. As the pilgrimage advanced, Colette transformed into an angel, gaining heightened sight, hearing, and wings while progressively losing taste, sleep, speech, and physical sensation. She hid these changes until Lloyd uncovered the truth.
At the Tower of Salvation’s final seal, Colette surrendered her heart and memories to resurrect the goddess Martel. Captured by Cruxis and freed by Renegades, she traveled to Tethe’alla. Lloyd revived her consciousness by etching a Key Crest into her necklace, but she contracted Chronic Angelus Crystallus Inofficium—an excruciating crystallization disease.
