Description
Asfi Al Andromeda is the captain of the Hermes Familia, a position she has held for approximately seven years following the death of the previous captain, Lidith, during the Great Conflict. She is a 22-year-old human female with a height of 164 centimeters. Prior to becoming an adventurer, Asfi was a princess of a maritime nation, a past she left behind when her patron god, Hermes, brought her into the familia. Although her true level is 4, she follows Hermes's directive to publicly present herself as a level 2 adventurer.

In terms of personality, Asfi is characterized by her serious, calm, and diligent nature. She takes her responsibilities as captain very seriously and is known to be a hard worker. A significant part of this role involves managing the consequences of Hermes's often childish, perverted, and troublesome behavior, a task she frequently performs while sporting dark circles under her eyes from exhaustion. She is often seen scolding or punishing her god for his actions, yet despite her constant complaints, she follows his orders diligently and harbors a deep sense of gratitude towards him for saving her from her former life. As a captain, she is analytical and level-headed, capable of working effectively under pressure. She prefers to avoid unnecessary battles and focuses on her assigned mission, showing a pragmatic side that contrasts with more headstrong warriors. While generally reserved and professional, especially in keeping the secrets of her familia, she displays a warmer and more relaxed attitude towards those she considers friends.

Asfi's primary motivation stems from her loyalty and gratitude to Hermes. Although she complains about her endless work, she remains faithful and dedicated to the familia, cleaning up the messes left in her god's wake. Her role in the larger story often involves providing support and strategic assistance. She was part of the search and rescue team for Bell Cranell during the Monsterphilia incident and fought alongside Ryuu Lion against the Black Goliath, a monster the dungeon spawned in retaliation for the gods' unauthorized entry. She also participated in a mission to rescue Hestia from the Ares Familia. Her responsibilities frequently put her in situations where she must manage the fallout from Hermes's larger schemes, a role she performs with a mix of exasperation and competence.

Key relationships include her bond with her patron god, Hermes, which is complex and built on a foundation of irritation and genuine thankfulness. Within her own familia, she works alongside members like副团长 Falgar, Lulune Louie, and former Ishtar Familia member Aisha Belka. She has developed a rapport with Ryuu Lion, having fought alongside her in battle. Notably, she found a sympathetic connection with Marius of the Ares Familia, recognizing that they both share the unfortunate fate of cleaning up after their gods' reckless actions.

Asfi has shown development in her journey, particularly as a leader. Though she was initially brought into the familia as an adventurer and later became vice-captain, she has grown into the role of captain, a position requiring immense patience and managerial skill. After years of relentless work and being denied a break on multiple occasions, she finally manages to go on a vacation by the events of volume 19.

Asfi's notable abilities are extensive and have earned her the nickname Versatile One, or Perseus. Her most significant talent is her possession of the rare development ability Mystery, which allows her to create magical items. She is one of the few, if not the best, magic item producers in Orario. Her creations are numerous and include the Hades Head, a helmet that grants the wearer invisibility, and the Talaria, a pair of winged flying boots. She also manufactures various combat items, such as Burst Oil (a liquid explosive), Cithara (a harp that attracts specific monsters), and other tools like a freeze explosive and a sleep-inducing flute. Her personal combat ability is high, as expected of a level 4 adventurer, and she wields a short sword called the Canoval Dagger. She possesses a magic spell called Kalov Argol, but its chanting time is long and its effects are considered weak, making it impractical for certain combat situations. Asfi also has access to several other skills that enhance her crafting, including Trismegistus, which grants temporary development abilities for item creation, and Aldifontaine, among others.
