Description
Millie is a young beast-race girl who appears as a supporting character in The New Gate. She is eight years old and belongs to the tiger subtype of the beast race, giving her distinctive tiger ears and a short, energetic appearance with blonde hair and green eyes. Millie lives in a church-run orphanage, having been orphaned at an early age. She is a Title holder, possessing a rare and powerful ability called Star Enchanter, also referred to as Stargazer, which grants her the power of foresight. This title allows her to glimpse future events, a talent that makes her both valuable and vulnerable.

In terms of personality, Millie is cheerful, bright, and full of energy, though she has a mischievous streak and occasionally sneaks out of the orphanage to play, causing concern for her caretakers. Her outward naivety is partly a natural trait of her age, but it is also influenced by the visions from her Title, which can affect her perception of the world. Despite her youth, she has already been targeted by dark forces due to her prophetic ability. On one occasion, she was kidnapped but was rescued by the protagonist, Shin.

Millie’s role in the story is primarily that of a protected figure and a catalyst for certain events involving Shin and his allies. Her relationship with Shin is significant; he becomes her protector and a trusted figure, while she also bonds with other characters such as the adventurer Girard, who acts as her guardian. Her prophetic insights occasionally aid the group in anticipating dangers, though her abilities are not fully controlled.

In terms of development, Millie begins as a helpless orphan but gradually gains a sense of security and belonging through the care of Shin and the church. Her foresight, while a burden at times, also positions her as a key asset against hidden threats. Notable abilities beyond her title include the physical traits of her beast-race heritage, such as enhanced senses, though her primary supernatural power remains her rare capacity to see fragments of the future.
