Description
Makie Tachibana's traumatic family history began with her parents' mountain accident death, triggering her brother Toru Tachibana's obsessive protectiveness. He falsely imprisoned her for months until she escaped during his hospitalization after causing a car accident that injured Voyager restaurant manager Yoshiki Takarada.
Consumed by guilt over Toru's actions, Makie volunteered unpaid work at Voyager to atone during Yoshiki's recovery. Starting as a dishwasher, she mastered waitressing and won customer admiration. Chef Chuya Nakahara elevated her signature dish to the menu. She hid her homelessness by living in the staff room and carrying clothes in her bag until Chuya discovered her situation and offered lodging at his home.
While residing with Chuya, conversations with his sister unveiled details of her confinement and conflicted feelings toward Toru. She acknowledged his instability while strategically leveraging the restaurant to maintain independence. Her Voyager presence sparked professional friction with Minare Koda, who saw Makie as both job and romantic rival. Makie later developed romantic feelings for Chuya.
Her appearance features black hair in a low ponytail, with work attire comprising a white apron over a black dress. Subsequent storylines reference ongoing struggles for Makie and Toru, reflecting how their past shapes their present.
