Description
Mimori Amamiya leads the Forestcraft class in Shadowverse. A kind, gentle, yet profoundly shy 14-year-old, she constantly battles low self-esteem, viewing herself as ordinary while deeply admiring those she perceives as special. Her significant early encounter pits her against idol Alice Kurobane at the Shadowverse Stadium.
She accompanies Hiro on his quest for Master Rank, securing a National Tournament invitation with Kazuki. Though eliminated in the first round, she steadfastly supports her friends throughout the competition. Mimori later competes in the Shadow Grand Prix, teaming with Alice against the Joubert Sisters. Further battles strengthen their mutual understanding and friendship. Achieving Gold Rank by defeating a Shadow Knight leads to her selection for a critical mission: saving the world from the Tree of Woe under Leon's direction, taking her to the ruins of the Mythical Cards.
During the Tree of Woe crisis, Mimori is pulled into a dream world where she lives her idol fantasy. Guided by Asagi, she enters the world of her Mythical Card – a deep forest. There, she befriends Arisa's spirit. They cooperate to defeat a shadow monster, but it possesses the Arisa spirit. Mimori triumphs in the ensuing Shadowverse battle against the possessed Arisa. This victory, combined with her newfound resolve to discover her own unique qualities, allows her return to reality. She joins the fight against Empty Shadows and supports Hiro in his final clash with Leon.
Three years later, during the Shadowverse Flame era, Mimori is a high school student. A misunderstanding with Alice results in a battle against Subaru Makabe, facilitated by Subaru's assistance. Observing shared unresolved struggles, both find courage to face their insecurities. Later, while reconciling with Alice during an outing, Mimori witnesses the Arc Ruler's invasion of Nekome. Initial frustration with Alice's attitude transforms into a joint decision to retrieve the Mythical Cards sealed at Shadowverse College. They battle Shade monsters using the Nexa System, aided by the Joubert Sisters.
After losing the Mythical Cards and Wolfram Zerga reviving the Tree of Woe, Mimori reunites with former allies, placing her trust in Light Tenryu. Following Wolfram Zerga's defeat and the Tree of Woe's disappearance, Mimori declines Alice's proposal to become her idol partner. Instead, she expresses her intention to study and eventually become Alice's manager, choosing a path to support Alice from the sidelines.
Mimori battles with a Forestcraft deck that reflects her personality. Her strategy employs low-cost followers and spells, prioritizing combo plays to build board presence over direct offense. Many cards feature defensive effects protecting followers. She frequently plays multiple cards per turn to activate effects, relying on her ace card, Brilliant Fairy, to strengthen Fairies and grant them Storm for decisive attacks.
Her documented victories include battles against Kazuki Shindō, Alice Kurobane (teamed with Alice vs. Joubert Sisters), Zwei, the Shadow Knight, Seiya Kibakura (with Takuma), and Arisa. Losses occur against Takuma Kibakura, Alice Kurobane in a later rematch, and Yuriko Midorikawa (off-screen in the initial series). During Shadowverse Flame, she achieves a victory against Subaru Makabe.
