Description
Power is a member of the Public Safety Devil Hunters' Special Division 4 in the film Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, where she serves as the regular partner of the protagonist Denji. She is a Blood Fiend, meaning she is a devil known as the Blood Devil inhabiting the corpse of a young woman. Because fiends are normally treated as extermination targets, Power is an unusual case: her relatively high intelligence and rationality led her superior Makima to train her as a devil hunter instead of disposing of her.
Her background in the film carries over directly from the earlier television series. During the final conflict of that season, Power drank a large amount of zombie blood, which triggered a dramatic surge in her power. At the beginning of the movie, this empowered state is shown clearly: her horns have grown significantly, and she is strong enough to send Denji flying into the ceiling with a single punch. However, this surplus of blood makes her stronger and more arrogant than Public Safety can safely tolerate, so Makima has her taken away for most of the film to drain the excess blood. Because of this, Power is largely absent from the main conflict against the Bomb Devil, and the Shark Fiend Beam is assigned as Denji's temporary partner in her place. She returns in the post-credits scene, where her chaotic personality is shown to be completely unchanged.
Personality-wise, Power is childish, greedy, and almost entirely self-motivated. She is a pathological liar who constantly boasts, blames others for her own mistakes, and holds a dismissive and openly racist attitude toward humans.
