TV-Series
Description
Yunyun is the daughter of Hiropon, chief of the Crimson Demon Clan. She possesses crimson eyes and long dark hair tied in twin tails with red ribbons. Taller than Megumin with a more developed physique, her typical attire includes a black robe and mantle over a low-cut blouse, an ultra-short pink miniskirt, dark pink stockings, and brown boots. A distinctive barcode birthmark appears on her inner thigh.

Unlike the dramatic chūnibyō behavior typical of her clan, Yunyun exhibits a timid, socially awkward personality. This relative normality leads to ostracization within the Crimson Demons, resulting in poor social skills and profound loneliness. She desperately seeks friends, often stalking potential companions or making excuses to interact. Yunyun plays two-player games alone, celebrates birthdays by herself, and once attempted to summon a demon for companionship. Her shyness causes her to flee before others can thank her for assistance, fostering misconceptions that she dislikes socializing. Despite high intelligence and keen perception, she is extremely naive, easily tricked by those claiming friendship. Yunyun maintains low self-esteem, viewing herself as boring or a nuisance, and frequently cries when rejected, defeated, or stressed. She remains earnest about her clan's traditions, practicing their dramatic self-introductions despite embarrassment, and strives to become a worthy successor to her father.

As a student at the Crimson Demon Village's magic academy, Yunyun consistently ranked second academically behind Megumin. She developed an early attachment to Megumin after receiving a crayfish from her. Yunyun regularly challenged Megumin to contests but lost every time, often forfeiting her lunch. During physical education, she frequently partnered with the teacher Pucchin due to lacking teammates. When summer vacation started early, she completed homework immediately and built snowmen alone until Megumin joined her. Yunyun later helped classmates copy her homework and wished for friends upon witnessing a summoned shooting star. During a field exercise, her hesitation to kill a cute monster led to tearful pressure from peers until Megumin intervened. When a gargoyle attacked, Yunyun fled alongside classmates and later criticized villagers for destroying their own village.

Yunyun learned intermediate magic earlier than peers to rescue Megumin's sister Komekko from monsters. She later unlocked advanced Crimson Demon spells like Lightning Strike, Inferno, and Tornado. Her accumulated skill points allowed graduation alongside Megumin. Afterward, she traveled to Axel, struggling to join adventuring parties as her shyness scared potential teammates. She partnered temporarily with Megumin to fight the demon Hoost. During this battle, Yunyun employed paralyzing potions and magic tools purchased from Wiz's shop. When Hoost incapacitated her party, she cast a paralyze spell that affected herself, stalling until Megumin arrived with an explosion spell.

Yunyun later visited Kazuma's party in Axel, delivering a letter from her father misinterpreted as demanding a child with Kazuma for revenge. This was actually an excerpt from a classmate's fanfiction. During Sylvia's attack on Crimson Demon Village, Yunyun fought alongside Kazuma's group. When Sylvia fused with the Mage Killer weapon, Yunyun combined her magic with Megumin's explosion under Wiz's mana transfer, defeating Sylvia.

She wields a silver magic rod to boost spell power and carries a decorative short sword for self-defense. As an adventurer, she utilized equipment including Manatites for mana storage, paralyze booster potions, and magic canceller scrolls. Her spell repertoire spans basic water creation, intermediate elemental attacks, and advanced techniques like Control of Weather and Teleport—marking three locations: Crimson Demon Village, Royal Capital, and Devil King's Castle surroundings. She understands goblin, orc, and spirit dialects. By adulthood, her adventurer level exceeded 40.

Yunyun documented social interactions in a diary. She expressed romantic interest in Kazuma once, though based on misunderstanding, and stated a desire to have his children. Her friendship with the delinquent Dust made others hesitant to approach her.
