Description
Quabala Quabala, whose name is sometimes romanized as Kwabara, is a supporting antagonist in the anime Shy. Her true identity is Clara Valhalla. She was a member of the villainous organization known as Amarariruku.

In terms of appearance, Clara is a skinny girl with light skin. She has round, yellow eyes, and dark circles linger underneath them, giving her a perpetually weary look. Her wavy, mid-back length hair is a shade of lavender, with long bangs framing her face.

Her personality is marked by an eerie and unsettling presence, fitting her role as a threat to the heroes. While specific emotional depth or internal motivations are lightly sketched in the available material, her actions clearly align with the goals of Amarariruku: spreading fear, chaos, and challenging the world's protectors.

Clara's role in the story is that of an antagonistic force who directly menaces the heroes through her unique and dangerous ability. She serves as an obstacle that forces the protagonist and her allies to confront fear itself.

Quabala's primary ability is Possession. As long as she can get behind a target, she is able to possess them completely. While possessing someone, any attack aimed at Quabala is instead redirected entirely to the possessed person, making her extremely difficult to strike without harming an innocent. Furthermore, her own power grows stronger in proportion to the fear felt by her victim.

A more advanced technique derived from this power is called Raven Possession. When she uses it on an ally, the ally becomes cloaked in a crow-themed garment and gains the ability to weaponize black feathers, manipulating them as a versatile offensive tool.

Key relationships for Quabala are primarily her connections to the other members of Amarariruku, with whom she collaborates to carry out their collective schemes. Her interactions with the series' heroes are defined by combative encounters where she exploits their compassion against them.

As a member of Amarariruku who is spoken of in the past tense, her narrative arc concludes during the conflict, and she does not undergo a redemptive change; instead, she remains a persistent embodiment of fear until her defeat.
