Description
Ming Ming Li, also known by his hero identity Mian Long, is the fifteen-year-old hero representing China in the world of Shy. He is a slender teenage boy with an androgynous appearance, often leading others to mistake him for a girl, though he does not take offense at the confusion. In his civilian form, he has messy black hair that reaches his back, a braid on the left side, and dark eyes. When transformed into Mian Long, his hair becomes shorter and turns blue, his eyes also become blue, and two ahoge appear on his head. He stands 158 centimeters tall and weighs 48 kilograms, with a birthday of June 16 and blood type A.
Ming Ming is a gentle and somewhat insecure individual. He is not naturally inclined toward combat and wishes he could save people without having to fight villains. He has a habit of falling asleep at odd places and times, and he enjoys sleeping as well as mooncakes. Despite his reluctance to fight, he wants to become stronger and is bothered by the feeling that he is not masculine enough. His motivations stem from a desire to fulfill his duty as a hero while remaining true to his peaceful nature.
He is equipped with a pair of bracelets that synchronize his heart spirit into power, allowing him to transform into his hero form, Mian Long. These bracelets also enable him to understand and communicate in any language. As Mian Long, his primary ability involves inducing sleep. His techniques include Ryumin Ken Tenshin-ryu "Meisou," which creates long energy claws from his cuffs that cause intense drowsiness in anyone they touch, and Ryumin Ken Hi-gi "Shinshinshou," where he emits energy from his right palm to immobilize his target.
In the story, Ming Ming serves as a supporting hero who collaborates with others on international missions. He shares several traits with Teru Momijiyama, Japan’s hero Shy, particularly a mutual dislike for unnecessary fighting. He first encountered Shy during a mission in the North Pole alongside the Russian hero Spirit, where they investigated mysterious events caused by the ice-wielding Tzveta. His relationships with other heroes are cooperative, and he is shown to be a reliable ally even as he works to overcome his own insecurities. Over time, he continues to develop his combat skills and confidence, though his core preference for peaceful resolutions remains intact.
