Description
Kiri Shirasawa is the female protagonist of the story, a first-year high school student who is deeply involved in her school’s drama club. Her background as a passionate aspiring actress forms the core of her personality and behavior. Initially, she struggles with the gap between her quiet, reserved demeanor outside of club activities and her desire to be more expressive, especially around her upperclassman and crush, Eiji Kitahama.

Her personality is defined by a unique blend of shyness and performative extroversion. While she is naturally somewhat shy and prone to nervousness, particularly when speaking to Eiji as herself, she has an incredible ability to transform her character completely when acting. She is thoughtful, loyal, and incredibly dedicated to her craft, often practicing her interactions as if they were scenes. Her primary motivation stems from her affection for Eiji and her wish to see him smile, which leads her to create a "pseudo harem" for him by rapidly shifting between different character archetypes, such as a clingy kouhai, a tsundere, a cool beauty, or a childish girl.

In the story, Kiri serves as the catalyst for the central romantic dynamic. Her role is to play the various "heroines" of Eiji’s fantasy harem, but each act is an expression of her genuine feelings for him. Through these performances, she aims to entertain him and keep his attention, hoping that he will eventually recognize her true self amidst the many masks she wears. Her key relationships naturally center on Eiji Kitahama, the senpai who becomes both her audience and her love interest. He is one of the few people who witnesses her dramatic transformations, and his acceptance and encouragement fuel her confidence. Her relationship with the other members of the drama club, though less emphasized, provides the foundation for her acting skills.

Kiri’s development throughout the narrative is gradual but significant. She begins with a sense of insecurity, feeling that her ordinary self is not interesting enough to hold Eiji’s interest. By using her acting abilities to become a "harem," she hopes to become indispensable to him. As the story progresses, she learns to close the distance between her performed characters and her authentic self. She grows more comfortable expressing her honest feelings without hiding behind a role, and her initial anxiety gives way to a more grounded confidence in her relationship with Eiji. Her notable ability is her exceptional acting talent, which allows her to switch between distinct personalities almost instantly, altering her speech patterns, body language, and tone of voice completely. This ability is not just a skill but the primary language through which she communicates her love.
