Description
Jill Cervel is the central protagonist of her story, a young noblewoman granted a second chance at life after a grim and untimely death. She comes from the Cervel family, a lineage of marquises responsible for defending the borderlands of the Kingdom of Kratos. Her family is renowned, and in some quarters feared, for their extraordinary physical prowess and immense magical power, often viewed as a clan of natural-born warriors. The family philosophy, that power is justice, heavily shaped Jill’s upbringing, which involved brutal training from an extremely young age, a regimen so severe that it was potentially fatal for anyone outside the bloodline.

In her first life, Jill became engaged to Crown Prince Gerald der Kratos. Blinded by what she believed was love and his acceptance of her formidable nature, she dedicated her youth to honing her skills in both swordsmanship and magic. She became a celebrated, and also dreaded, military commander who led her troops into countless battles. Her combat prowess earned her numerous titles, including "God of War's Daughter," "Fiend," and "Denizen of Battle". However, this life ended in betrayal. After discovering a dark secret about the prince, she was publicly implicated in a crime, hunted down, and killed by a lance just as she attempted to escape.

Jill’s death became her salvation, as she awoke six years in the past, back in her ten-year-old body on the very day her tragic engagement to Prince Gerald was to begin. Refusing to repeat her mistakes, she immediately abandoned that path and made a shocking decision: she proposed marriage to Hadis Teos Rave, the man who was fated to become her greatest enemy and the future Dragon Emperor. Her primary motivation in this new life is multifaceted. On the surface, she seeks to avoid her own execution by aligning herself with a powerful figure, but this quickly evolves into a genuine mission to prevent the devastating war between the Kingdom of Kratos and the Empire of Rave. More personally, she becomes deeply committed to changing Hadis's dark destiny and ensuring his happiness.

Jill possesses a notably vibrant and headstrong personality. She is defined by her brave, direct, and impulsive nature, often charging headlong at any obstacle in her path. Her behavior subverts typical expectations of a heroine, with her courage and leadership frequently casting her in the traditional "hero" role while her male counterpart, Hadis, seems more like the "heroine" of their romance. Despite her ferocious reputation on the battlefield, where she is a rational and cold-blooded strategist, Jill retains a girlish fondness for cute things and has a significant weakness for delicious sweets. Her love of food is so pronounced that a simple cake played a decisive role in her accepting a marriage proposal.

Jill’s abilities are nothing short of monstrous due to the combination of her innate heritage and the accumulated experience from her past life. As a member of House Cervel, she was born with an overwhelming reserve of magical power, which her family traditionally uses to physically enhance their bodies. This allows her to perform superhuman feats such as felling a dragon single-handedly by the age of ten. This raw power is coupled with the tactical knowledge and instincts of a seasoned commander from her first life, granting her exceptional strategic thinking, sharp intuition, and the ability to accurately assess people's characters. She is practical and adaptable, even using her foreknowledge of past betrayals to preemptively foil the plans of former enemies.

Her key relationships are the driving force of the narrative. Her dynamic with Emperor Hadis Teos Rave is the most central. What begins as a marriage of convenience for survival transforms into a partnership where she is fiercely dedicated to protecting him and ensuring he does not become the tyrant she once knew. In contrast, she views Prince Gerald, her former fiancé and murderer, with deep disgust and determination to avoid. She also builds strong bonds with her comrades-in-arms, including members of her former elite unit, the Cervel Assault Squad, as she works alongside them again in a new context. Her development across the story is defined by her shift from a victim of fate to an active agent of change. She wields the trauma and hard-won wisdom of her first life not for revenge, but as a tool to reshape the future, protect her loved ones, and find true happiness on her own terms.
