Shū Uchida is a Japanese-Australian voice actress born in Sydney, Australia, on May 24, 1996. She was raised in Australia from the age of two until she was eighteen, an upbringing that gave her native-level English proficiency, a skill for which she is widely recognized. Inspired by voice actors such as Romi Park, she decided to pursue a career in the industry and moved to Japan alone in 2014 to attend voice acting school.

Uchida's professional career began in 2016 with her debut role as the character Warspite in the game Kantai Collection. She has since built a diverse portfolio of work across anime, games, and narration. A significant and defining role in her career is Mia Taylor in the Love Live! franchise. She first voiced the character in the game Love Live! School Idol Festival ALL STARS and subsequently in the anime series Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, its second season, and the spin-off series Nijiyon Animation and its sequel. Another notable role is Xiaofang in the anime series Arad Senki: The Wheel of Reversal.

Beyond these, Uchida has lent her voice to a wide range of other characters. In anime, her credits include Cleo and Hatori Shikishima in Alice & Zoroku, Shizuka Tokime in Magia Record, Laura Bradley in D4DJ All Mix, Jill Cervel in The Do-Over Damsel Conquers the Dragon Emperor, and Grace Martilas in The Too-Perfect Saint: Tossed Aside by My Fiancé and Sold to Another Kingdom. She has also appeared in long-running series such as Crayon Shin-chan and Doraemon. In the realm of video games, her notable roles include Nanami Nanase in Heaven Burns Red and Sonetto in Reverse: 1999.

Throughout her career, Uchida has been affiliated with several agencies, starting with LINK PLAN, then moving to CaliCom in 2020, and joining her current agency, Just Pro, in 2022. Her fluency in English is a distinguished asset; in 2021, she achieved a perfect score of 990 on her first attempt at the TOEIC test. In recognition of her musical contributions as part of the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, she was a recipient of the Singing Award at the 17th Seiyu Awards in 2023.
