Description
Mia Taylor is a 14-year-old third-year student at Nijigasaki High School, having skipped grades due to exceptional musical talent despite her youth. She transferred from New York after her friend Lanzhu Zhong brought her to the school. Coming from a family of esteemed musicians, Mia prefers a relaxed lifestyle, frequently indulging in hamburgers while displaying limited domestic skills – she struggles with cooking and misuses appliances for tasks like washing vegetables.

Her personality blends outward competitiveness with underlying insecurity. She straightforwardly declares "war" on rivals like the player character in songwriting, yet internally doubts her creative abilities compared to others. This leads her to seek advice from Rina Tennoji, who suggests building closer relationships to understand their strengths. Mia initially presents confidence as a façade masking her vulnerabilities.

Physically, Mia has platinum silver hair styled in a boycut, grey eyes, and a silver rectangular earring on her left ear. She stands 156 cm tall (5'1") with a slim build. Her designated image color is platinum silver, reflected in her penlight and merchandise.

Within the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, Mia officially joined as the 12th member and 11th school idol alongside Lanzhu. She performs as part of the subunit R3BIRTH. Her story includes attempting to join a "best big-sis" contest among older third-years but being denied due to her age, emphasizing themes of age versus maturity. Club activities feature her sharing lunch boxes that reveal her poor cooking skills and playing arcade games. She exhibits a low tolerance for spicy food during a Russian roulette takoyaki challenge.

Her character development centers on music. Songs like "I'm Still..." and "Toy Doll" track her evolution from fearing failure and familial expectations towards expressing herself authentically through songwriting. Her musical style draws from 2000s Western pop and pop-punk, featuring English lyrics – a franchise first – underscoring her shift from insecurity to self-assurance.

Additional details note her status as the franchise's youngest school idol (as of 2021), her role as the first main character not born in Asia or Europe, and her occasional use of English influenced by her voice actor's Australian accent. She is also the only Nijigasaki anime character with on-screen male parents.
