Description
Kiku-chan is the young daughter of the company president and appears as a minor character in the anime "The Quintessential Quintuplets ∽". She is a kindergarten girl easily recognized by her distinctive half-closed eyes and her hair styled into braids. Despite her very young age, Kiku-chan has a mature and composed demeanor that sets her apart from other children her age. She often speaks in a way that is arrogant and condescending, using words that seem beyond her years to project an air of superiority.

Kiku-chan is acutely aware of the troubled dynamics within her own family. She knows that her father is suffering because of her mother's infidelity, a painful truth that has shaped her worldview. This knowledge leads her to reject the very idea of a maternal figure. During pretend play like tea parties, she has been known to declare that a mother is not necessary, stating her feelings bluntly. However, this outward rejection is a defense mechanism that conceals a deep inner sadness caused by her mother's absence. Despite her claims, she is genuinely lonely and hurt by the situation.

Her role in the story is to serve as a point of interaction for Fuutarou Uesugi, who sees through her tough facade. Recognizing the sadness hidden beneath her mature and dismissive attitude, Fuutarou encourages her to stop acting so grown-up and to honestly express her true feelings as a child. This interaction highlights Kiku-chan's primary development, which is a subtle but important emotional opening. While she initially appears in the series only in the ∽ installment, her encounter with Fuutarou allows her a moment of vulnerability where she can begin to acknowledge her real pain rather than hiding behind arrogance. She has no notable physical abilities or special skills beyond her surprisingly sharp perception for a child her age.
