Lumbar Dorn is a supporting character in Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout. He is an eighteen-year-old male who serves as a loyal follower of Bos Brunnen. He often accompanies Bos and engages in bullying behavior toward Tao Mongarten and his friends, mocking their adventures and expressing disdain for their activities on the island. Despite his outward brashness and arrogance, Lumbar is actually quite timid and easily frightened. He becomes anxious or scared when confronted by an angry Reisalin Stout or when facing dangerous monsters. His loyalty to Bos appears to be his most genuine trait, and he rarely acts independently of his master. In his past, Lumbar once bumped into a tree that had a beehive, an incident that hints at his tendency to find himself in troublesome situations. Physically, he has short brown hair, purple or violet eyes, and stands at a height of 1.68 meters. His role in the story is primarily that of an antagonist who reinforces Bos's opposition to the main group, though he lacks any special combat or alchemical abilities and remains a relatively minor character.
