Description
Ozawa, sometimes romanized as Oozawa, is a supporting character in the anime The Dragon Dentist. He is an officer in the national army of the Dragon Country, where he is assigned to security duty on the Dragon Bridge, the structure that connects the land to the dragon. On the military base that sits on the dragon's back, he is the soldier of the highest rank, which gives him the final say over most matters of military business. Despite this authority, he is still bound by the dragon's codex, the set of rules that governs the relationship between the dragon and the people who serve it. He is an adult man with grey hair and brown eyes.
His main presence in the story comes after the enemy soldier Bell is revived from inside the dragon's tooth. Because Bell is a soldier from the opposing nation and his return from the dead is treated as a sign of impending disaster, Ozawa approaches the dragon dentists and demands that Bell be handed over to the military. The leader of the dragon dentists, Godou Yotoshio, refuses the request and instead places Bell under the care of Nonoko as a dentist in training. The mercenary Blanco and his group seize control of an aircraft carrying one of the dragon's teeth and use it to board the dragon, intending to steal the dragon's wisdom tooth, the object that symbolizes the contract between the dragon and the country. Ozawa leads his soldiers to intercept them, but the patrol is quickly overwhelmed. Ozawa is killed by Blanco and his men, who then continue on toward the dragon's inner sanctum.
