Description
Quentin Fermo serves as the main antagonist, a Cyber Newtype employed by the private military Buch Junk Company. He pilots specialized mobile suits, initially the RX-78AN-01 Gundam AN-01 Tristan and later the RX-78KU-01 Kurwenal. Fermo possesses considerable piloting skills, enabling him to compete effectively against experienced opponents like Danton Hyleg.
His involvement occurs during Universal Century 0096, following the Laplace Incident. Dispatched by the Buch Junk Company to investigate the drifting asteroid base Axis, Fermo encounters the Earth Federation Forces' Mastema special forces unit, including former Zeon remnants Arlette Almage and Danton Hyleg. Piloting the Gundam Tristan, Fermo engages Danton Hyleg's Zaku III Custom in an initial confrontation before making a tactical withdrawal.
Fermo later returns to the conflict in the upgraded Kurwenal mobile suit. During this phase, he defeats Arlette Almage's AMA-X4 Ahava Azieru in combat and critically damages Danton Hyleg's AMX-104 R-Jarja. However, upon discovering Arlette shared his background as a test subject in Newtype experimentation programs, he chooses not to deliver a fatal blow to Danton Hyleg.
