Description
Angelina Dorothea Oceanus, who goes by the nickname Angie, is a central character in the film. She initially presents herself as a foreign video creator who has come to Japan to make a video of her beloved calico cat traveling through the country. Her request to the protagonists is to find her cat, which has gone missing in Shinjuku, and she offers an unusually large advance payment for this seemingly simple task.

Behind this innocent facade, however, lies a much more complex and dangerous identity. Angie is a member of Wetworks, an assassin team belonging to the criminal organization Union Teope. Her true purpose for approaching Ryo Saeba is not to find a lost pet but to confront him. She was raised as a mercenary under the sea god Mayor, the leader of Union Teope whom she deeply reveres. Mayor regards Ryo as his masterpiece, a fact that fuels Angie's deep-seated jealousy and her determination to prove that she is his true greatest creation.

Angie's background is one of profound tragedy. She was originally born into the family of a military official in an unnamed country, but her home was attacked by a unit led by Mayor. In the assault, her entire family, including her father, was killed, leaving her as the sole survivor. She was then taken in and raised by the organization. Because Mayor never gave her a proper mercenary name, she is known within the organization as Anonimo, a Spanish or Italian word meaning nameless one. Her chosen surname, Oceanus, meaning sea god, is a reference to Mayor.

Her personality is marked by a striking contradiction. As an adult woman, she displays a great deal of naivety and a lack of common knowledge about civilian life, a direct result of being raised solely as a mercenary from childhood. She is unfamiliar with cooking utensils and is genuinely moved to tears by the taste of sweets. When subjected to harassment, she is more confused than offended and is unaware of the meaning of certain slang terms. Beneath this innocent exterior, she is a highly trained and dedicated operative. Her core motivation is a personal and obsessive mission to defeat Ryo Saeba without using the dangerous performance-enhancing drug known as Angel Dust. This obsession was triggered when she discovered a photograph of a smiling Mayor with Ryo, a genuine expression of happiness she had never received from him herself, leading her to tear the picture in two.

In the story, Angie serves as both the initial client and the eventual antagonist. Her cat retrieval request is merely an excuse to observe Ryo and Kaori up close. She manages to steal a prototype of Angel Dust, codenamed Adam, and goes against her organization's judgment by refusing to use it, instead seeking to destroy it of her own volition. This makes her a traitor to Union Teope, and she is relentlessly pursued by her former comrades, Pirarucu and Espada. Despite her deception, Ryo sees through her from the beginning, recognizing that she is neither a video creator nor an ordinary person, yet he chooses to protect her as a client.

Her key relationships are fraught with conflict and manipulation. Her entire identity is defined by her loyalty to Mayor, whom she sees as a father figure. This loyalty is twisted by her jealousy of Ryo, the man she was raised to rival. During her time with Ryo and Kaori, who are unaware of her true nature, she begins to be affected by their sincere and caring behavior. This causes her to waver, leading her to hand over the Angel Dust prototype to Ryo before disappearing to face her fate alone. She also shares a bond with her Wetworks teammate Pirarucu, who ultimately sacrifices himself to protect her from Mayor's forces.

Angie undergoes a tragic and dramatic development. After being defeated in a fair fight by Ryo, she is shot from a great distance by Mayor with a sniper rifle loaded with the Angel Dust prototype. The drug injects her with nanomachines that enhance her physical abilities to superhuman levels, allowing her to easily dodge Ryo's attacks and seriously injure him. However, the side effects are catastrophic, causing severe mental and physical abnormalities. The Angel Dust takes control of her will, making her unable to die or even commit suicide, as her body reflexively repels bullets. Recognizing her living hell, Ryo ultimately frees her by firing multiple magnum rounds into the exact same spot on her heart. In her final moments, her sanity returns, and she thanks Ryo and Kaori before dying in Ryo's arms, envisioning a fantasy of a happy childhood with Mayor.

In terms of abilities, Angie is a highly skilled mercenary and assassin. She is proficient with firearms, notably using a silver Colt Python revolver, similar to Ryo's weapon but equipped with a speedloader. After being injected with the Angel Dust prototype, her physical capabilities are drastically and unnaturally amplified, granting her incredible speed, reflexes, and a regenerative or defensive ability that allows her to bounce bullets off her body. Ultimately, this power proves to be a curse that robs her of her free will and leads to her demise.
