TV-Series
Description
Desperado is a character from the 2006 anime television series MUSASHI -GUN道-. She is a beautiful woman from England who is hunting down the protagonist, Musashi, whom she believes to be the killer of her father. As a foreigner in the series' setting, her appearance is distinctive; she wears an outfit reminiscent of a yukata with a deep neckline, paired with boots.
Initially, Desperado's primary motivation is revenge against Musashi for her father's death. However, during her pursuit, she arrives at Daitokuji temple where Musashi is located. It is revealed that she has come under the control of a supernatural entity known as the Spider Queen, an ayakashi that has the ability to manipulate humans with invisible strings. While possessed, she attacks Musashi, but her actions are not her own; the Spider Queen uses her unconscious state to make her an easier vessel for control. Her role in the story is closely tied to this incident, where she serves as an antagonist under the influence of an external force.
Desperado wields a rifle-like gun that is capable of firing three shots simultaneously, making her a formidable opponent in combat. In terms of development and key relationships, her dynamic with Musashi evolves significantly. Although she initially seeks his life as her father's enemy, Musashi himself denies being her foe. As she begins to travel and act alongside him, she appears to gradually forget her vendetta, suggesting a shift in her character away from revenge.
