Mayumi Yanagisawa is a Japanese voice actress born on July 7, 1975, in Tokyo, Japan. She is affiliated with the Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society, also known as Haikyo. Yanagisawa is a graduate of the Haikyo Voice Actors Studio, having completed the 13th term in 1998.

Her career in voice acting spans several decades, with active roles in anime series, OVAs, and films from the late 1990s onwards. One of her earlier roles was in 1999 for an installment of the Gundam franchise. In 2003, she was part of the cast for the series Kaleido Star, playing the character Elena. She has also contributed to other notable projects such as the 2005 OVA Munto 2: Beyond the Walls of Time, where she voiced the character Leica, and the 2005 television series Oku-sama wa Joshi Kōsei (My Wife is a High School Student), in which she played Iwasaki-sensei.

Yanagisawa has a recurring presence in the Appleseed XIII franchise. She provided the voice for the character Nike in the 2011 original video animation series Appleseed XIII, as well as in its compilation films, Appleseed XIII: Tartaros and Appleseed XIII: Ouranos. Her filmography also includes roles in works like Rocket Girls (2007) as Satsuki Asahikawa, and the 2008 television series Spice and Wolf, where she voiced Adele Cole. In 2014, she was part of the cast for the television series Cross Ange: Rondo of Angels and Dragons.

Beyond anime, Yanagisawa's work includes a significant amount of narration for a wide variety of Japanese television programs. Her narration credits span major networks and include shows such as NNN Documentary on NTV, the long-running music variety series Shin Domoto Kyodai and its subsequent specials on Fuji TV, and news programs like Hodo Station on TV Asahi. She has also done voice-over work for foreign films and dramas, including a role in the Japanese dub of the film Mission: Impossible III.

Throughout her career, Yanagisawa has collaborated with several fellow voice actors on multiple projects. These include frequent co-stars such as Uchida Naoya, Shimono Hiro, and Kudou Haruka.
