Description
The Administrator of Earth is a divine figure responsible for overseeing the planet and correcting dimensional distortions. This being inadvertently sets the story of I Shall Survive Using Potions! in motion by making a critical error while performing his duties: he causes a young woman named Kaoru Nagase to lose her physical body. As a form of recompense, he and his fellow administrators offer to reincarnate her into a different, less culturally advanced world, though it is the goddess Celestine who ultimately grants Kaoru her specific cheat abilities.
The Administrator of Earth is a male character with blue eyes and blonde hair that falls to his shoulders, often styled into a ponytail. He is frequently depicted wearing a cape, and his appearance is that of an adult. Despite his immense power and authority, he does not appear to be a central or active figure in the narrative, serving more as a catalyst for the initial conflict and a point of motivation for another key character.
His personality is not directly explored in great detail, as he does not play a prominent role in the day-to-day events of the other world. However, his importance is highlighted through his relationship with the goddess Celestine. Celestine, who is the manager of the world where Kaoru is reincarnated, harbors a deep longing for the Administrator of Earth. Her primary motivation for granting Kaoru such powerful and versatile abilities, including the creation of potions with any desired effect, is to impress the Administrator. She hopes that by sending an intriguing and successful human to the world she manages, she will capture his attention and favor.
This relationship reveals a great deal about the hierarchy and nature of these divine beings. While Celestine presents herself in a smaller, more personable avatar form to interact with humans, her true form is a being of a vastly higher order. In that state, she considers humans to be insignificant creatures, less than microbes. Her feelings for the Administrator of Earth are genuine, but they exist within a context where both are entities far beyond human comprehension. The Administrator himself does not directly intervene in the story beyond his initial mistake, but his existence as an object of admiration for Celestine influences her actions and, by extension, the entire trajectory of Kaoru's life in the new world.
The Administrator of Earth possesses the abilities typical of a high-level divine being. His primary responsibility is correcting dimensional distortions, a task that requires immense power and constant focus. His capabilities are such that a mistake he made while performing this duty could accidentally destroy a human's physical form. Furthermore, he exists on a level where other managers like Celestine seek his approval, implying that his authority and power are superior even to hers. His role is less about direct action and more about representing the highest tier of divine oversight in this fictional universe.
