Description
Quis Panta, also known as Quiz, Quis, Qwis, Kwis, Chris, or Kris across translations, emerged as a classified "Mirror Warrior" crafted by Jurai during a coma-like state suffered by Seto Kamiki Jurai. This followed Seto's own ZZZ attack causing massive casualties and damaging her royal tree ship Mikagami. Designed as a perfect double with identical memories and physical capabilities, Quis Panta flawlessly assumed Seto's form and role. Periodic memory synchronization allowed Seto to maintain her duties while Quis Panta also operated independently under the alias "Kuis Panta" as a shape-shifting intelligence agent.
Her development took a pivotal turn during an encounter with Seina Yamada while impersonating Seto. Interacting with Seina, she began withholding memories from Seto, fostering a distinct ego and personal identity separate from her template. This psychological divergence risked external observers noticing differences between her and Seto, threatening their long-standing subterfuge. A crucial moment came when both Seto and Quis Panta revealed their existence to Seina, explaining they could separate permanently with an undiscovered "key." Quis Panta privately asked Seina to name her, believing he held the key to her liberation. He chose "Quis Panta," reflecting her true self.
Romantic feelings for Seina further distinguished her from Seto, evident when she assumed Seto's identity during his vacation on Imuim with romantic partners. Most direct interactions between Seina and "Seto" before this revelation involved Quis Panta, including Mikagami's initial pirate capture. She later infiltrated Racepshi to join Seina in Renza without Seto's authorization, creating tension. This disobedience resulted in both being reprimanded by Jurai's financial officer, Ringo Tatsuki, regarding expenditures during the Renza operation.
Later, her secret identity was unintentionally exposed to Ayeka, Sasami, and Noike during an Earth visit when they recognized her as Seto's mirror. This exposure occurred because Tenchi Masaki's actions had "ascended" the royal tree ship Ryu-Oh, while Noike's ship Kyoko evolved first-generation tree properties. These advanced trees accessed Mikagami's classified data, revealing Quis Panta. Despite exposure, she continued intelligence operations, participating in the buoyancy project for Tabletop Island's treeship south of Japan, depicted in *Tenchi Muyo! GXP Paradise Starting*.
Her relationship with Seto evolved into a sisterly dynamic through shared memories and prolonged coexistence, though they retained distinct personalities. Quis Panta operated as head of the Kamiki household's security and intelligence unit, tasked with protecting Seto's relatives.
