He is one of the main members of the Kasukabe Defense Group and is known for his timid and sensitive personality. In the film Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Ora no Hikkoshi Monogatari ~Saboten Daishūgeki, Masao appears primarily during the opening segment set in Kasukabe.
