Description
Liltotto Lamperd is a Quincy and a former member of the Wandenreich's Sternritter, holding the designation G, which stands for the Glutton. She appears as a petite young girl with a childlike appearance, but her demeanor is sharp, blunt, and foul-mouthed, often making her the most cynical and pragmatic member of her group. Despite her rough exterior and tendency to speak her mind with harsh sarcasm, she cares deeply for her friends and operates with a cool-headed rationality that sets her apart from her more volatile comrades. She is a natural strategist and is often the de facto leader of the Bambies, a subgroup of female Sternritter that includes Candice Catnipp, Meninas McAllon, and Giselle Gewelle.
Liltotto's motivations shift over the course of the story. Initially, she serves Yhwach and the Wandenreich loyally as a soldier, participating in the invasion of the Soul Society. She fights primarily to survive and protect her close allies rather than out of zeal for conquest. Her loyalty is severely tested when Yhwach activates Auswählen, an ability that steals the powers of impure Quincy and ultimately kills several of her friends. Enraged by this betrayal, Liltotto joins forces with Giselle and Bazz-B in a rebellion against Yhwach, temporarily allying with the Soul Reapers to open a path to the Royal Palace and confront him. This decision marks a significant turning point, as she prioritizes her personal bonds and survival over the cause of the Quincy king.
In battle, Liltotto wields the Schrift the Glutton, which allows her to extend her mouth into a massive maw of jagged teeth to devour nearly anything, including living opponents, spiritual energy, and even other abilities. While she digests what she consumes, she can temporarily access the powers of those she has eaten, making her a versatile and dangerous fighter. This ability is tied to her constant hunger, which she often complains about. She is also a skilled Quincy archer, using a short bow with serrated details to fire Heilig Pfeil arrows shaped like open mouths. Her Quincy Vollständig is called God's Hunger, which grants her jagged wings of spirit particles and a pentagram mark on her forehead. In this form, she gains access to additional techniques such as Fork, a serrated circular attack; Sword, a serrated blade made of spiritual power; and Golden Clamp, a giant serrated clamp used to crush enemies. She can also use Sklaverei, a technique that forces reishi from the environment and living beings into absolute submission, further enhancing her power.
Key relationships define her character. She shares a dry, sarcastic rapport with Giselle, tolerating her macabre humor while relying on her in battle. She is fiercely protective of Meninas, devouring the Sternritter PePe Waccabrada after he used his ability to control Meninas. She also acts as a grounding force for Candice, often reining in her hot-tempered nature. Her relationship with Yhwach begins with duty and ends in defiance, solidifying her as one of the few Sternritter who actively turns against him. After the war, Liltotto survives her confrontation with Yhwach and is later revealed to have been rescued and healed by Haschwalth's aide. In the events following the main conflict, she continues to act as a survivor, seeking to rescue missing friends and operating with a hardened but still principled outlook.
