Aoi Yūki is a highly acclaimed Japanese voice actress and singer born on March 27, 1992, in Chiba Prefecture. Her birth name is Aoi Yabusaki. She began her entertainment career at the age of four as a child actress, appearing in television dramas and variety shows. She made her voice acting debut while in the fifth grade. She is currently represented by the agency Aoni Production and is a graduate of Waseda University.

Her first major voice acting role came in 2008 as Murasaki Kuhōin in the series Kure-nai. The following year, she starred as Ichigo Amano in Yumeiro Patissiere and as Riko Mikogami in Anyamaru Tantei Kiruminzuu, establishing her presence in the industry. In 2011, Yūki achieved widespread recognition and critical acclaim for her portrayal of the titular character, Madoka Kaname, in the landmark anime series Puella Magi Madoka Magica. This performance earned her the Best Lead Actress Award at the 6th Seiyu Awards.

Throughout her career, Yūki has demonstrated a remarkable vocal range, bringing to life a diverse array of characters. She is known for roles such as the energetic Hibiki Tachibana in the Senki Zesshō Symphogear series, the powerful Diane in The Seven Deadly Sins, the intelligent and quirky Futaba Sakura in Persona 5 the Animation, and the frog-like hero Tsuyu Asui in My Hero Academia. She also voices the menacing yet logical Tanya Degurechaff in The Saga of Tanya the Evil, the protagonist Kumoko in So I'm a Spider, So What?, and Maomao in The Apothecary Diaries, a role for which she won the Best Voice Artist Performance (Japanese) award at the 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Her film work includes roles in the critically acclaimed films Your Name., as Sayaka Natori, and A Silent Voice, as Yuzuru Nishimiya.

Beyond anime, Yūki is highly active in video game voice work. Her extensive game credits include Lumine in Genshin Impact, Futaba Sakura in the Persona series, Lysithea von Ordelia in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and numerous characters in franchises like Fate/Grand Order, Granblue Fantasy, and Arknights. She also provided the Japanese voice for Gwen Stacy / Spider-Woman in the animated films Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Across the Spider-Verse.

In addition to her solo career, Yūki formed the singing unit Petit Milady with fellow voice actress Ayana Taketatsu in 2013. She is also known for her skills as a digital artist and illustrator, having created artwork for characters she has voiced and launching an original character project. With a career spanning over two decades, Aoi Yūki is celebrated as one of the most talented and prolific voice actors of her generation.
