Description
Yatta-la Kernagul is one of three primary officers in the Docouga Crime Syndicate, holding the rank of commander and reporting directly to its leader, Neo Neros. A synthetic human distinguished by blue skin and yellow eyes, he is an imposing figure, standing 2.01 meters tall and weighing 148 kilograms.
Beyond his duties to the syndicate, he nurses a personal ambition to establish his own chain of fast-food restaurants, intending to name them "Kernagul's Fried Chicken" and "KerDonald's"—an ambition he later realizes in the events of the sequel film, *The Time Étranger*.
As an antagonist, he leads operations against the protagonists aboard the Good Thunder, though his allegiance proves flexible. He once forms a temporary alliance with the GoShogun team, alongside fellow officers Leonardo Medici Bundle and Suegni Cuttnal, to confront a common enemy born from the instability of Beamler energy. This act foreshadows a more definitive shift: he eventually executes a Heel–Face Turn, siding with GoShogun against Neo Neros at the series' conclusion.
Decades later, in *GoShogun: The Time Étranger*, he appears among the former comrades and rivals gathered at the bedside of a comatose Remy Shimada. Within her subconscious, he joins the struggle against a personified force of death.
He is often accompanied by his personal robot, Kerna, which serves as both a comedic relief character and an outlet for his frustrations, while also contributing significantly to the series' finale. In the North American adaptation, *Macron-1*, the character was renamed Lord Jeraldan.
