Description
Noumen, also known as Nohmen, is a supporting antagonist in Mission: Yozakura Family. He was the owner of the Dandy Lion Hotel and a former member of the criminal organization Tanpopo. At some point in his past, he came to owe his life to Makoto Kawashita, which created a strong sense of indebtedness that shaped his actions. Noumen was involved with Tanpopo for a considerable time and was responsible for testing the prototypes of a drug called Hazakura, a copy of the substance known as Someinin. His physical appearance is notable: he is a large, pale man with short black hair styled back, pitch-black eyes, and no eyebrows. He typically wears a navy blue suit buttoned up with a white shirt and a spotted red tie. His personality is cold and serious, and he speaks in an effeminate tone. Despite his harsh demeanor, he is aware of the abnormal effects the Hazakura drug has on his body but also feels gratitude toward those who helped him, particularly Kawashita. He has little interest in dealing with younger individuals.
Noumen's motivations are driven by his loyalty to Kawashita and his willingness to use the Hazakura drug to gain power. He created Hazakura to replicate the abilities of Someinin, aiming to use it for Tanpopo’s purposes. In the story, he uses the drug to increase his already formidable physical strength, achieving tremendous power. However, his compatibility with the drug is only 10 percent, indicating that the enhancement comes with risks. He directly endangers Taiyo Asano by using Hazakura against him, forcing Taiyo into a dangerous situation from which he escapes with the help of Shinzo Yozakura. This confrontation leads to Noumen temporarily retreating.
