Description
High Schultatte is a character from the anime Panzer World Galient, serving as the primary rival to the protagonist, Jordy Volder. He is a seventeen-year-old of the Earth race (Āsuto-jin) and holds the position of captain of the Mardal army's Royal Guard.

His background is defined by a deep sense of debt and loyalty to the warlord Mardal. After being orphaned in a country that Mardal had conquered, High Schultatte was found and taken in by the conqueror. Recognizing the boy's natural talents, Mardal put him through an elite education program designed to prepare him for a coming war against a technologically advanced alliance. This upbringing instilled in him an unwavering, absolute loyalty to his master.

Personality-wise, High Schultatte possesses a very strong sense of elite consciousness. He is proud, sees himself as uniquely favored by Mardal, and holds his position with great seriousness. However, his most defining trait is a notable lack of mental flexibility. This rigidity in his thinking and character directly contributes to his downfall, as he struggles to adapt to situations that do not conform to his expectations.

His primary motivation and central role in the story are driven by jealousy. Despite being the chosen and favored protégé, High Schultatte becomes intensely jealous when Mardal begins to show interest in the protagonist, Jordy. He feels that he has been set aside in favor of another, and this deep-seated resentment fuels his actions. This jealousy turns into a fierce and personal rivalry with Jordy, making their battles increasingly more intense and aggressive than mere military conflicts would warrant.

In terms of character development, High Schultatte's rigid nature serves as a tragic flaw. His inability to be flexible, combined with his burning jealousy, often leads him to poor decisions in combat. This consistently results in him experiencing the bitterness of defeat, becoming a character who, despite his elite status and skills, rarely achieves victory. In a final act of loyalty, even after Mardal himself declares the end of his own ambitions, High Schultatte refuses to abandon his master. He continues to believe in the revival of their cause and ultimately shares in Mardal's final fate.

High Schultatte is also notable for his piloting abilities. He operates a custom silver-colored Wingal, a transforming flying mecha known as a Flying Soldier (Hikōhei), designated as the Wingal High Schultatte Type. This machine is modified specifically for his use and boasts close-quarters combat power on par with an Armored Hunter (Kikō Ryōhei), a heavier class of mecha. The unit stands 11.96 meters tall and is armed with two beam cannon axes, which he wields in a dual-blade style to pressure the protagonist's machine, the Galient.
