Description
Bonta is the only son of the Nuketa family and the older brother of Susuko. He is a young boy easily identified by his round glasses, which are a key part of his design, along with his big, round hair, a blue shirt marked with the letter P, and dark blue shorts. As a character, Bonta embodies the archetype of the neighborhood's intelligent but physically unremarkable child. His defining trait is his intelligence; he is very smart and acts as the brains of his friend group, often applying logic and knowledge to various situations.
In terms of personality, Bonta is a nerdy kid who generally has a calm and rational disposition. However, he has a notable limit to his patience. Because the main character Guzura is innocent, clumsy, and prone to causing unintentional trouble, Bonta can get very angry at the chaotic situations Guzura creates. Despite his frustration, he remains a loyal friend. He is described as being somewhat weak physically, which contrasts with his sharp mind and often requires him to rely on others for help with practical problems. His motivations are typically tied to maintaining order and helping his friends, as he and his sister Susuko frequently work together to rescue Guzura when he gets into trouble. Conversely, when Bonta faces problems of his own, he depends on Guzura to fix them, highlighting a symbiotic relationship where his intelligence is complemented by Guzura's unique abilities.
Bonta’s role in the story is primarily as one of Guzura’s first and closest human friends. He and Susuko meet Guzura when the little monster appears in their home, and from that point on, they become his best friends and central companions in his adventures. Bonta’s home serves as a base of operations for the group, where they often have to hide the female monster Chalala from their parents. Beyond his friendship with Guzura and his bond with his sister Susuko, Bonta has a significant antagonistic relationship with a character named Tin. Tin acts as a stereotypical bully, constantly picking on Bonta by mocking him, claiming superiority, and physically pushing him around. This dynamic establishes Bonta as an everyman figure who must navigate both the extraordinary chaos caused by his monster friend and the mundane cruelties of childhood.
While specific character development over the course of the series is not extensively documented, his established role as the smart, bespectacled child is consistent throughout the story. His notable abilities are not physical or superpowered but intellectual; his intelligence and resourcefulness are his primary contributions to the group. He serves as a grounding presence and the strategic thinker among his more impulsive and chaotic friends.
