Description
Armorgeist is a recurring antagonist from the television anime series The Brave Fighter Exkizer. He serves as one of the Space Pirate Geisters, a group of treasure-seeking alien criminals operating under the command of their leader, Dino Geist. In keeping with the group's dinosaur-themed motif, Armorgeist’s alternate form is that of a Stegosaurus.
In terms of personality, Armorgeist is depicted as clumsy, brutish, and stubborn. His lack of finesse often leads to him making mistakes during missions, and he has a tendency to bicker with his fellow Geisters, particularly his teammate Horn Geist. This bickering and rivalry among the Geisters is a recurring dynamic, highlighting their dysfunctional nature as a villainous team that is often more of a threat to each other's plans than to the heroes.
Armorgeist’s primary motivation aligns with that of the Geisters as a whole: to follow Dino Geist's orders and assist in stealing what their leader considers treasure from Earth. The Geisters typically employ a bug-like machine to transform local structures into giant monsters to wreak havoc and distract the Space Police Kaisers while they attempt to secure their prize. Despite their efforts, their schemes rarely succeed, and Armorgeist and his comrades are frequently forced to retreat after their monsters are destroyed.
Within the story, Armorgeist acts as a recurring mid-tier threat, often participating in battles alongside the other Geisters. While not the primary antagonist, he is a persistent obstacle for the heroic Kaisers. A notable aspect of his role in the narrative is his ability to combine with other Geisters. Armorgeist can participate in a 2-Unit Combination with Horn Geist to form a larger, more powerful robot named Hormor. He is also one of four Geisters, alongside Horn Geist, Thunder Geist, and Ptera Geist, who can perform a 4-General Combination to form the immense robot Mad Geister. These combination sequences are depicted as using the same bug-like machines that create their monsters, rather than the mechanical combining processes used by the heroic Kaisers.
Armorgeist shows some development in his combat capabilities over the course of the series, most notably by learning to perform these combination techniques. By the end of the series, his string of failures culminates in his capture. He is ultimately defeated and detained by the Kaisers using the recaptured Energy Lifeform Capture Device.
Regarding notable abilities, Armorgeist is heavily armed, with numerous weapons mounted across his body, including electric charges, missiles, bombs, and machine guns. His primary special ability in his dinosaur mode is the power to tunnel through the ground at high speeds, allowing him to attack from beneath the surface or make unexpected entrances and exits.
