Description
Ayako Kimizuka is a freelance investigative reporter who becomes closely involved with the Brave Police team. She has a bold and fearless personality, often pursuing stories with a tenacity that places her directly in harm's way. Upon her first encounter with the Brave Police officer Dumpson, she famously hijacked him without hesitation, forcing the sentient dump truck to drive her to police headquarters for an interview. Initially skeptical of the Brave Police program, she changed her mind after witnessing Dumpson's interactions with the human boy Yuuta Tomonaga.

Ayako is defined by a strong heart and a refusal to back down from danger. She does not fear risky situations, such as refusing to evacuate before an expected tsunami during a space elevator accident. Her dedication to uncovering the truth often leads to her being captured multiple times while chasing leads, yet she remains undeterred, even explaining her inferences about a criminal's plan while at gunpoint. Her home is tidy and she lives alone, reflecting an orderly personal life that contrasts with her chaotic adventures. She is also principled, refusing to write fake news even when a friend is involved in an embarrassing incident.

In the story, Ayako serves as a valuable ally to the Brave Police. Her most significant relationship is with Dumpson, whose stubborn and headstrong personality matches her own, creating a strong friendship and an effective partnership. The Brave Police often seek her advice, and she provides objective and insightful opinions. Ayako possesses several notable abilities. She is completely immune to Trend Gas, a substance that drives other humans insane. She demonstrates extreme stamina, functioning normally without eating or sleeping for three days. Her masterful inference skills allow her to deduce a criminal's goal in a very short time, and her extensive knowledge has directly helped the Brave Police defeat powerful enemies. Furthermore, she maintains an inconceivable information network, allowing her to easily locate individuals when others cannot. She later published a book about the Brave Police, with the character Victim O'Rand being one of her customers.
