Description
Elenore is a member of the Techno Police unit in the futuristic Centinel City. As a member of this special task force, her direct partners are Ken, a spirited and reckless newcomer to the city, and Gora Kosaka, a husky male officer. Together, this three-person team operates a large, six-wheeled, roofless police car. In this vehicle, Ken sits in the center to drive, Elenore takes the position on his right, and Gora sits on his left.
Elenore's specific role within the team is tied to her personal robot partner, a Technoid named Scanny. Scanny is a red-colored robot with a feminine figure and a face composed entirely of blinking LEDs. Unlike the more powerful and physically strong Technoid, Vigobus, which belongs to Gora, Elenore’s Scanny is designed for technical and computer-based tasks. Scanny has two cables that stream from its neck and can plug into computer sockets, effectively allowing Elenore to interface with and hack electronic systems. This specialization makes her the team’s expert in data and security systems.
In the course of the story, Elenore is called upon to use this expertise during a critical incident involving a hijacked, highly advanced prototype tank. After the initial hijackers are forced out of the vehicle, Elenore enters the tank to study its systems. However, the tank has been pre-programmed by the criminals to drive itself to a pier and into the ocean to rendezvous with a waiting enemy submarine. Elenore is consequently trapped inside the autonomous and heavily armed tank as it begins its destructive journey through the city. This event places her in a perilous situation, turning a routine investigation into a desperate rescue mission for her partner, Ken. The team must work together to stop the runaway tank and save her before it reaches its final destination and self-destructs.
