Janina Richter is a German actress, voice actor, dubbing speaker, dubbing director, and dialogue writer born in Berlin in 1955. Her career in the entertainment industry began at an early age; she appeared alongside her brother, actor and television presenter Ilja Richter, in the 1962 musical film So toll wie anno dazumal. In the early 1970s, she became known to a wider audience as a sketch partner for her brother on the popular music television program Disco.

Richter has maintained a prolific career primarily focused on voice acting, providing German dubbing for numerous actresses in film and television. Her extensive dubbing credits include voicing Heather Locklear, Meg Ryan, Winona Ryder, Jennifer Tilly, Bernadette Peters, and Halle Berry in various productions. In the anime genre, Richter is recognized for the role of Elenore in the 1982 film Techno Police 21C, for which the German dubbing was produced in Berlin in 1988. Another notable anime voice credit is the lead role of Perrine in the German version of the television series The Perrine Story.

Beyond her work as a performer, Richter has taken on significant creative responsibilities in the dubbing process. She wrote the German dialogue book and served as the dubbing director for the popular American television series Friends. Her voice acting portfolio also includes work in audiobooks, radio plays, and video games, with a vocal range described as versatile, distinctive, and full. In 2003, she performed on stage with her brother in the production Ein Ilja kommt selten allein at the Studio Theater in the Essen city hall.
