TV-Series
Description
Hikage Miyauchi serves as the middle sister in the Miyauchi family, bridging eldest sister Kazuho and youngest sister Renge. Born December 7 under the Sagittarius sign with blood type O+, she is 15-16 years old during the series' events and attends first-year high school in Tokyo after transferring from Asahigaoka Branch School.

Her dark violet hair mirrors Kazuho's shade, while her blue eyes share Renge's distinctive shape. Childhood depictions show her with twin-tailed long hair and orange bows. Post-move to Tokyo, she adopted a shorter above-shoulder cut, typically securing a small left-side ponytail to cultivate an urban aesthetic. She favors casual attire like shorts and boots.

Fundamentally kind and responsible, Hikage prioritizes keeping promises, including frequent visits to Asahigaoka. She actively seeks validation by boasting about Tokyo life to appear worldly, though these efforts often falter comically against Hotaru Ichijo's genuine metropolitan savvy. Beneath this posturing, she demonstrates authentic care for loved ones and retains deep countryside knowledge, claiming to have educated Natsumi Koshigaya on rural skills.

Hikage maintains a warm bond with Kazuho, recalling her sister's guidance during elementary school. Her dynamic with Renge involves mutual affection despite occasional disappointment from the younger sister. She shares a close, supportive friendship with Natsumi, frequently getting unintentionally swept into her mischief. Her history as an Asahigaoka resident informs interactions with characters like Kaede Kagayama and Konomi Fujimiya.

Originally created by Atto for "Koakuma Meringue" without a surname, Hikage was integrated into Non Non Biyori as Renge's sister due to matching eye designs and her unnamed status in the prior work. This established her background as an Asahigaoka Branch School graduate who moved to Tokyo for high school. There, she shares an apartment with Haruka Kudo—a friend from "Koakuma Meringue" who remains absent from Non Non Biyori.

Her character remains consistent across all anime seasons, OVAs, and films, primarily appearing during Asahigaoka visits where urban anecdotes contrast humorously with Hotaru's sophistication and her own rural roots. Later installments reinforce her established traits without introducing evolution or new background details.
