Krin Cashim is the central protagonist in the story. He is the youngest son of Governor Donan Cashim, the powerful leader of the colony planet Deloyer under the Earth Federation. Raised in privilege, Krin is an adventurous and spirited teenager whose life takes a dramatic turn when political turmoil engulfs Deloyer. Initially, due to his father's influence, he receives combat armor pilot training from a Federation ace, learning to operate the standard Soltic Roundfacer. However, when his father appears to be overthrown in a coup, Krin takes up arms for the Federation side, only to discover that his father had secretly aligned with the coup leaders to establish a brutal dictatorship. This revelation deeply shakes him, turning his anger and disillusionment toward his father's oppressive regime. After encountering Dr. David Samalin, the designer of a revolutionary combat armor called the Dougram, Krin steals the prototype and, together with a group of like-minded friends, forms the rebel group known as The Fang of the Sun. He becomes its primary pilot, using the Dougram to spearhead the guerrilla war against the occupation forces. Throughout the conflict, Krin evolves from a sheltered youth into a determined freedom fighter, driven by a strong sense of justice and a desire to liberate Deloyer from tyranny. His key relationships include a fraught, estranged bond with his father Donan, a close camaraderie with the rebellion's leader Rocky Andor, and the mentorship of Dr. Samalin. Krin's notable abilities lie in his adaptable piloting skills, his courage under fire, and his ability to inspire others to join the cause, all honed through the harsh realities of a prolonged insurgency.
