OVA
Description
Baja is a small creature resembling a hamster, also identified as a "badger mouse." He was brought to Kohata Anime Studio from the outside world as a young animal and raised there by the staff. His exact species origins remain undefined, with Baja acknowledging limited memory of his early life before the studio.

He inhabits the studio full-time. During the day, employees care for him during breaks. His routine involves observing studio activities and watching the ducks in the outdoor pond, whom he considers friends. At night, when the studio empties, Baja remains alone except for the visible ducks.

A defining moment occurs when Baja witnesses a cat attacking one duck friend at night. This prompts him to take action despite his vulnerability. He discovers the studio possesses latent magical properties tied to the animation process, enabling animated characters and figures to come alive. This magic assists his rescue effort, immersing him in a world where animation concepts manifest physically. During this journey, Baja displays curiosity, determination, and a childlike perspective.

A subsequent experience involves Baja encountering the sea and marine creatures coinciding with Japan's Marine Day. This expanded journey reinforces his role in exploring imaginative realms facilitated by the studio's creative energy.

Baja functions as a symbolic representation of wonder within animation. His interactions with the studio environment and staff highlight themes of nurturing creativity. He embodies the studio's history and identity, originating from an early unmade project concept and evolving into a longstanding mascot. His adventures serve as explorations of imagination, where ordinary studio elements transform into magical phenomena.
