TV-Series
Description
Ayame Hatsuno is a character from the anime series GaoGaiGar: King of the Braves. She is introduced as the cousin of Hana Hatsuno, another character within the series. During the original television series, Ayame is a third-year middle school student, approximately fourteen years of age. She is characterized by her distinct personality as a tomboy with a wide range of interests typically associated with "tough boy" subjects, including a deep fascination with military hardware, motorcycles, and professional wrestling.

In the later continuity of GaoGaiGar vs. Betterman, which takes place in 2014, Ayame has grown up and joined the reformed Gutsy Global Guard, known as GGG. Within this new organization, she serves as a member of the Mobile Corps, working as an operator at the Orbit Base. In this role, she is responsible for providing support and coordination for the team's operations. Her personality in this period is still marked by a spirited and energetic nature. On one notable occasion, she demonstrated pride and a proactive attitude, emphasizing the importance of continuing to live life and find happiness even during difficult and uncertain times.

A significant aspect of Ayame's personal development is her relationship with her co-worker, Tsuguo Ushiyama. The two marry, and she takes his surname, becoming Ayame Ushiyama. Their relationship is depicted as a supportive partnership between two GGG members. In 2016, she gave birth to their son, Hajime, and subsequently resigned from her active duties to go on maternity leave, showing her dedication to her new family. This event is portrayed as a happy occasion, with Ayame expressing immense pride in motherhood, viewing the act of bringing new life into the world as a positive and courageous act despite the global chaos.

One of Ayame's notable possessions is a special personalized Personal Handy-phone System, which she calls the "Ayame Eye." This device is a direct nod to the Ultra Eye, the transformation device used by the character Ultraseven. This detail highlights her connection to the broader tropes and homages common within the mecha and hero genres. Her background also reveals that her early fascination with masculine hobbies was originally an attempt to gain the attention of a high school crush, who ultimately ended up with a more traditionally feminine woman. She later used the knowledge and skills she gained from these interests to enlist in the new GGG as part of Project Z.
