TV-Series
Description
Fūryū is a Super-AI Vehicle Machine, designated model number GBR-6, hailing from the Chinese Scientific Aeronautics Division. He is one of four elemental-themed robotic brothers, alongside Hyōryū, Enryū, and his direct partner RaiRyū. Fūryū represents the element of wind. His design incorporates a unique chest dial that indicates different levels of power, each with a distinct effect on his abilities. In his alternate mode, Fūryū transforms into a cement mixer, a form that distinguishes him visually from his brothers.
Fūryū is understood to be the older brother of RaiRyū and possesses a personality similar to that of Hyōryū, the older brother in the other pair of the four-dragon team. He is characterized as being serious, reliable, and composed. As the leader of his own pair, he balances RaiRyū’s more energetic and reckless nature. While his brother may struggle with coordination, Fūryū is capable of flight using the mixer unit on his back and demonstrates a high level of tactical awareness in combat.
His primary motivation, as a member of the Gutsy Geoid Guard, is the protection of Earth from the Zonder threat. He serves as a powerful ally to the main hero Guy Shishiō and the rest of the GGG team. Fūryū was introduced later in the original television series to bolster GGG’s forces against increasingly powerful enemies. His most significant role in the story comes from his partnership with RaiRyū, as together they are capable of performing Symmetrical Docking. This process combines the two robots into a single, more powerful warrior known as GekiRyuJin. Formed through what is known as a Symmetrical Docking, GekiRyuJin is more offensively oriented than the combined form of the other two brothers.
The relationship between Fūryū and RaiRyū is that of a close but contrasting brotherly bond, with Fūryū acting as the calm and collected senior counterpart. He also shares a deep camaraderie with the other GGG Super-AI robots, particularly the sibling pair of Hyōryū and Enryū. Under special conditions where their SympaRate exceeds two hundred percent, usually when charged with an energy source known as THE POWER, Fūryū can achieve an alternate combination. In this scenario, he can Symmetrically Dock with Enryū to form GouRyuJin, a fusion that wields the elemental powers of fire and wind.
Fūryū possesses several notable abilities. In his individual robot form, he can attack with missiles called Fēng Dào Dàn and can fire powerful wind blasts from his mixer. He is also fully capable of flight. However, his most formidable power is accessed through GekiRyuJin. This combined form’s trademark attack is the Shuāng Tóu Lóng, or Two-Headed Dragon, which fires two mobile beams of energy shaped like dragons. This attack is exceptionally precise, powerful enough to penetrate enemy defenses with ease yet gentle enough to retrieve a Zonder core without damaging it. Furthermore, Fūryū carries a powerful self-destruct bomb within a compartment in his leg, a weapon that can be utilized strategically by GekiRyuJin in desperate situations, a capability unique among the four brother units.
