Shinichi Yamada is a Japanese voice actor and narrator from Hyogo Prefecture, born on March 12. He is affiliated with the talent agency Aoni Production. Yamada is a graduate of the Aoni Juku Tokyo School, having completed the 12th term in 1992, which placed him alongside notable contemporaries such as Takehito Koyasu, Daisuke Sakaguchi, and Hideo Ishikawa.

His career began in 1992 with minor roles in television series like Kiteretsu Daihyakka and Sailor Moon. Yamada is particularly renowned for his extensive work in the Brave franchise. In The King of Braves GaoGaiGar and its OVA sequel, GaoGaiGar Final, he demonstrated considerable vocal range by voicing multiple characters, including the twin robots Hyōryū (Ice Dragon) and Enryū (Flame Dragon), their combined form Chōryūjin, as well as Fūryū (Wind Dragon) and Rairyū (Thunder Dragon), and their combined forms Gekiryūjin and Genryūjin. This performance is often cited as a defining achievement in his career.

Beyond the Brave series, Yamada has built a prolific career across animation, video games, and narration. In anime, he has had a long-running role in One Piece, voicing the Marine officer Brandnew. He has also appeared in series such as Samurai Champloo and Case Closed. In the realm of video games, he is the established voice of the character Shimazu Sakon in the popular Samurai Warriors series and its various spin-offs.

Yamada's work also extends to tokusatsu live-action productions. He provided voice effects for the Satellite Vorsar in Ultraman Max and for the monster Face Thief in the series Dragon Knight: The Magic Gun Battle.
