Description
Dayōn is a recurring character from the original Osomatsu-kun manga and anime, created by the series' author Fujio Akatsuka along with his assistant Kenichiro Takai. He was envisioned as a new addition to the supporting cast at Akatsuka's request, and his name is derived directly from his most identifiable trait: a verbal tic where he ends his sentences with the phrase dayōn or simply yon.
Physically, Dayōn is a slender man with a highly distinctive appearance that centers on his face. His most prominent feature is an abnormally large, exaggerated mouth that stretches the width of his face, giving him unrealistic and cartoonish proportions. His head is shaped in a way that is small at the top and widens significantly to accommodate this large mouth and the prominent teeth within. He is almost always seen with a serene smile on his face. Other defining characteristics include a neatly slicked and parted head of hair, a long and curly mustache, and stubble that grows over his face. His typical attire is a khaki-colored suit.
