Description
Hossal Yugrául, a physician fueled by personal tragedy, dedicates his life to eradicating Black Wolf Fever—the disease that claimed his mother and ravages the Empire of Zol. Commissioned by imperial authorities, he identifies Van, a salt mine laborer who survived a wolf attack, as a carrier of vital antibodies. Convinced Van’s blood harbors the cure, Hossal relentlessly pursues him, blending clinical precision with unyielding resolve.

His empirical methods clash with widespread beliefs labeling the plague a divine scourge against Zol. Opposed by figures like Sae, a tracker framing the outbreak as righteous retribution, Hossal navigates ideological battlegrounds, forging uneasy alliances to advance his research. Pragmatism guides his collaborations, sidelining cultural animosities to prioritize evidence-based solutions.

As the crisis escalates, Hossal uncovers the fever’s mutation—a threat now endangering Zol and Aquafa alike. Racing against time, he pushes to synthesize a cure, balancing volatile partnerships with Van and others mired in suspicion. His journey becomes a bridge between science and societal schisms, positioning him as an unwilling mediator amid fear-rooted prejudices.

Hossal’s resolve confronts systemic strife: colonial hierarchies dismissing his findings, communities entrenched in medical mistrust. Yet he persists, uniting fractured factions under a shared goal of survival. Beneath his methodical exterior lies a deeper allegiance to collective humanity, transcending duty to challenge oppression and mend divides wrought by panic and misinformation.
