Description
Chuppi is a young, light blue female mouse and a core member of the traveling musical troupe that accompanies the protagonist Temple-chan in her journey home. Her most defining ability is her talent for music; she plays a wooden flute, and her performances are a key part of the group's identity and their means of bringing comfort and joy to others.

Within the ensemble, which includes the drummer boy Tam-Tam, the cat Dora, and the duck Gappe, Chuppi is particularly close to Temple. Their bond is strengthened by the fact that they are the only two female members of the group, fostering a natural sense of camaraderie and mutual understanding. She is often seen riding atop her larger companions, Tam-Tam and Dora, as they travel. While conflicts are rare among the group, Chuppi and Dora are known to have occasional disagreements, though these are typically minor and short-lived, never escalating into serious strife.

Chuppi's role in the story is to be a loyal friend and supporter to Temple. Coming from a sheltered and privileged background, Temple is initially unprepared for the hardships of the road. Chuppi, alongside the other animal musicians, provides essential emotional support, helping to lift Temple's spirits when she is distressed and playing a part in teaching her about friendship, resilience, and the simple value of shared resources. There is no significant individual character arc for Chuppi, as her development is tied to the group's collective journey. Her primary motivation remains consistent: to use her music to help Temple find her way back to her village and family.
