Description
Dino Bomber is a robotic character from the anime The Brave Express Might Gaine, where he serves as a member of the Bombers, a specialized team of artificial intelligence-equipped support robots. His primary color is blue, and his design incorporates a three-stage transformation gimmick, allowing him to change between robot, train, and animal forms. The train mode is based on the Super Hitachi 651 series or 253 Series Narita Express EMU, and his original name was Narita Bomber. In animal mode, he transforms into a dinosaur, specifically a Tyrannosaurus-like creature, which reflects his name and role as the team's brawler.

As a member of the Brave Express Team, Dino Bomber is primarily a combat unit. He is depicted as energetic, which is a common trait shared among all members of the Bombers. His motivation is straightforward, aligning with the team's mission to protect Nouvelle Tokyo City from various threats, including crime lords and mecha-based villains. He and the other Bombers are not merely vehicles but are equipped with a super AI, making them thinking partners in battle. This contrasts with some other support mecha in the series, as the Bombers were among the first prototypes developed with this advanced artificial intelligence.

Within the narrative structure, Dino Bomber is an integral part of the team's combined formations. When he and his fellow Bombers, Lio Bomber and Bird Bomber, combine, they form the larger robot Try Bomber, with Dino Bomber constituting the right arm and right leg. When the fourth member, Horn Bomber, joins the combination, the four form the even more powerful Battle Bomber. In this complete formation, he remains a component of the final robot. Additionally, in their train modes, the Bombers can link together to form the Animal Express, with Dino Bomber typically serving as the second car. His key relationships are therefore with his immediate comrades, functioning seamlessly with Lio, Bird, and Horn Bomber as a cohesive unit.

Dino Bomber possesses several notable abilities, which he typically utilizes in his animal mode. His primary special attack is the Dino Blizzard, a freezing beam that unleashes temperatures of minus 270 degrees from his mouth. He is also capable of the Dino Fire, a burst of flame from his mouth, though this is used less frequently. For close-quarters combat, he can employ his tail in a strike known as the Dino Hammer. His equipment includes Dino Garland, a pair of vulcan guns located in the animal mode's nose, and chest-mounted vulcan cannons in robot mode. In terms of combat specialization, he is described as excelling in hand-to-hand combat and underwater battles, distinguishing him from his teammates who may have different specialties.

Throughout the series, Dino Bomber and his team provide crucial support to the main protagonist robots. In one of the most significant events regarding his development, the combined form Battle Bomber, of which Dino Bomber is a part, is destroyed in the final battle after sacrificing itself to save Great Might Gaine from a fatal attack. However, in the series epilogue, all members of the Bombers, including Dino Bomber, are shown to have been successfully rebuilt and restored.
