Description
Might Gaine is the titular super robot of the Brave Express team, formed through the Express Combination of three train-based components: Gaine, a super artificially intelligent robot that transforms into a Shinkansen 300 series bullet train; Might Wing, a high-speed train with a jet mode; and Locomorizer, a giant steam locomotive that serves as the core of the combined form. As a combined mecha, Might Gaine is the primary defender of Nouvelle Tokyo City against organized crime and other threats. The robot possesses a distinct personality derived from Gaine's advanced artificial intelligence, giving him a strong sense of justice, selflessness, and bravery. He is unwavering in his mission to fight evil and protect the innocent, embodying classic heroic ideals.
In the story, Might Gaine serves as the main fighting robot of the Brave Express Squad, a private defense force funded and led by teenage billionaire Maito Senpuuji. Initially, Maito pilots Might Gaine directly, but after the introduction of the Might Kaiser component, Gaine's AI takes full control of the combined robot while Maito pilots the separate Might Kaiser. This shift reflects a deepening partnership between human and machine, with Gaine becoming an independent agent of justice. Might Gaine can further combine with Might Kaiser to form Great Might Gaine, a more powerful configuration that can also equip the Perfect Cannon, a massive shoulder-mounted weapon with immense firepower at the cost of reduced mobility. The robot's abilities include high-speed rail-based mobility, transformation into train forms, and a variety of combat weapons. His key relationships include his close bond with Maito, his role as leader among the other Brave Express robots such as the Bombers and Divers, and his opposition to various criminal organizations and rogue villains.
