Description
Dankichi Nitobe is a renowned enka singer hired for a Chichibu music festival aimed at boosting tourism, accompanied by his backup band including adult guitarist Shinnosuke Kanamuro. He specializes in composing location-themed songs, claiming professional expertise in crafting pieces about specific places. His creative process demands deep immersion in local culture, insisting on consuming regional cuisine and experiencing residents' warmth to connect with the "soul of the place" for authentic performance. He wears a pendant called an "energy sphere," believed by Nitobe to contain thoughts and emotions gathered from various locations and people, essential to his artistic ability.

Before the festival performance, Nitobe loses this pendant in a tunnel, rendering him unable to perform. Akane Aioi volunteers to search the tunnel but becomes trapped by a landslide. Following her rescue, Nitobe retrieves the pendant and successfully performs. His festival song incorporates the lyric "the fireworks bang," synchronized with the actual fireworks display planned as part of the spectacle. He promotes himself as journeying across villages and mountains to deliver the gift of smiles through music.
