OVA
Description
Tippy, formally named Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe, is an angora rabbit living at the Rabbit House café. While biologically female, Tippy houses the soul and consciousness of Chino Kafū's deceased grandfather, transferred into the rabbit's body following his death. This occurred due to an accidental spell cast by Cocoa Hoto during her childhood, a supernatural circumstance initially known only to Chino and her father.

Visually a typical rabbit, Tippy frequently perches on people's heads and exhibits behaviors blending rabbit traits with human mannerisms inherited from the grandfather. The rabbit demonstrates the grandfather's memories, wisdom, and occasional childlike quirks, offering life advice when appropriate. Though normally communicating through animal sounds, Tippy possesses human speech abilities—a secret originally limited to Chino and her father. However, Cocoa and Chiya Ujimatsu later display awareness of this ability when requesting coffee fortune readings.

Tippy's background includes a historical rivalry with Chiya's grandmother, reflecting the competitive dynamic between their cafés. The rabbit serves as both a companion to Chino and an emotional anchor to her grandfather's legacy, particularly regarding memories of Chino's deceased mother. This connection becomes significant during the "Sing For You" OVA, where Tippy provides silent emotional support as Chino prepares for a school concert solo motivated partly by a desire to honor her mother's legacy as a former jazz singer. After the performance, Tippy shares a quiet moment with Chino reflecting on her newfound happiness with friends.

Mystical elements include sightings of an afterlife express train periodically approaching Rabbit House to collect departed souls, with dialogue indicating it grows "closer every day." Tippy's supernatural status enables cross-dimensional awareness, including interactions with a pumpkin-headed entity manipulating parallel realities during Halloween. Tippy also appears in April Fool's alternate universe concepts like "CLOCKWORK RABBIT" (as a floating droid) and "Galaxy Train" (as a sci-fi conductor), though these are non-canon promotional iterations.

The full name holds thematic significance: "Tippy" references tea leaf edges, "Golden" and "Flowery" denote high-quality taste, and "Orange Pekoe" indicates supreme grade—collectively symbolizing the grandfather's enduring refinement and the series' edible naming motifs.
