Description
**Mondo Kirishima** is a professional Vanguard fighter from Chikuzen, Japan. After retiring at his career's peak, he returned to the game primarily to connect with and impress his son. He competes for the team "JIGEN," his surname written with the kanji for "fog" (霧) and "island" (島).

Mondo possesses olive skin, brown eyes, and messy black hair. His typical attire consists of a khaki jacket over a black t-shirt, white pants, and black shoes with grey soles. His personality is easygoing, driven by a desire to face strong opponents and achieve his son's admiration through cardfighting.

His competitive history includes receiving an invitation from Jinki Mukae for the will+Dress Season 1 Deluxe tournament, where he placed 2nd in his group. Mukae invited him again for will+Dress D2's Deluxe tournament, placing him in Group A; losses to Kairo Hayami and Raika Koshiba ended his quarterfinal hopes. Later, during the "Rising Dragon Cup" tournament (Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez episode 8: "Maiden's Reverie"), open to professionals and amateurs, Mondo reached the finals. He was defeated by Nao Inabe when her ace unit, Varga Dragres, executed four consecutive drive checks and three powerful attacks in a single turn.

Mondo pilots a Brandt Gate deck built around the "Galactic B-Hero" series, featuring his signature unit, Galactic B-Hero, Unite Dianos. His strategy centers on Galactic Base "A.E.G.I.S.," which recruits hero units for versatile offensive and defensive maneuvers, enabling an adaptable and balanced playstyle.
